CALLING ALL PEOPLE WHO HAVE BOUGHT TICKETS FOR THE NEXT PSTUCK DANCE!

I was given all of the confirmation numbers from Mariska and I have gone through them and organized them accordingly. Please if there is anyone who has not received their confirmation numbers yet send an ask to either this blog, the portlandstuck blog, or my personal blog which is rowan-rowan.tumblr.com. In the ask I need to know your first and last name, how much you paid, if you are a minor or not and your URL.

If anyone is wishing for a refund then please contact me and we can plan when to get your money back to you. I am working as fast as I can on this dance so I ask that you please me patient. Again, please please contact me if you have not recieved your confirmation numbers or wish to get a refund.

Is the dance this weekend?
Anonymous

No, the dance has been postponed. It will probably be in April.

How formal (ask far as clothing goes) is the winter formal going to be?
Anonymous

People are welcome to dress as formally or informally as they want to. However, at past dances people have dressed about as nicely as they would for a school dance. Some go as far as button downs, slacks and gowns, some people call it good at a sweater vest and jeans.

It’s really just an excuse to dress fancy and/or cosplay.

Winter Formal Potluck

We are doing a potluck for food at the winter formal so we will have more funds and energy to put towards things like decorations. Idfyou are interested in bringing something to the potluck, please feel free to send us a message or an ask. There will be a page added to the portlandstuckdances blog to track what has been confirmed for the potluck so people can see what others are bringing.

You are not required to tell us what you are bringing, but we strongly encourage that you do. if we know that you are bringing, we can update the potluck page and share that information with everyone.

What to Bring: We would prefer a variety of finger foods. We don’t know what we will have by way of power outlets, so we don’t know how much we will be able to plug in. Try to bring foods that can be kept at room temperature for several hours.

If people would like to bring a dinner dish, that’s fine, but please notify us in advance so we can prepare to accommodation it.

If you would like to bring a dessert to the potluck, we are requiring that you get permission from the admins first so we don’t have an over abundance of desserts.

As with any potluck, we will also need drinks, plastic silverware, disposable plates, cups and napkins.

If there are any questions or concerns, please feel free to send us an ask!

Would you rather our votes be sent in an ask or a submission?

Either one, it’s really up to you guys!

hey, so i was wondering what the food situation for winter formal is going to be like. will it be a potluck or will one or two people be doing most/all of it?

It is most likely going to be a potluck, where we definitely emphasize not bringing .5 metric tons of desserts and sopor pies and a leaning towards the dinner platters.

So yes, a potluck is definitely in our future!

Is there any kind of format you'd like our votes to be in? Or do we just do it like this- Queen of Hearts: person ; King of Hearts: person ; Queen of Spades: person - and so on??
Anonymous

That would be lovely! A few people have sent in just names, which works out fine too since they’re all listed on the royalty page, but if you would title each vote that would definitely make it a little bit easier!

Voting For Royalty Is: OPEN

Hey everyone, it’s officially after the 15 of January, which means the voting for the court is officially open! If you’d gotten contacted about nominations and haven’t answered it yet, do feel free to answer to get put up on the blog.

So, what this means for all us voting, is it’s time for some base rules.

  • No anonymous votes will count. We don’t want the votes swung, so only votes sent in attached to a url will be counted.
  • You get one vote per court position. This means that you can vote for a king and a queen of each suit, giving you 8 different sections you can fill.
  • The voting will end on February 16. This means that by midnight on the 16, your votes must be in. Late votes will not be counted.

Along with this, a few different candidates have put up campaign blurbs and photos, and the royalty page is looking pretty darn snazzy!

If you want to get a feel for the different nominees, feel free to go check it out. To all other nominees who haven’t put anything up, it’s still available to you- I’ll be putting up the campaign info as I get it from any and all candidates. Just send it to either Ghosti’s personal blog, or the Portlandstuck dances blog!

So you want to be a DJ…

There was a lot of interest in DJing at the last dance however at the time we already had a DJ selected. Alex has done a great job both times we’ve asked him to step up. Now, in the interest of giving everyone an opportunity, we will be allowing something to the affect of DJ auditions.

If you are interested in DJing at the dance you only need to do one thing: Send us a fanmail or submission with a description of how you would fill one hour. That’s it. Whoever has the most thought out game plan will be our DJ’s for the dance.

We will select 2-3 people to fill the dance unless someone really blows us away or we only get one audition.

You will have until Midnight on January 31st to send us your game plan, starting now.

Go.
